TERMS OF SERVICE

Clear commitments, uncompromising craftsmanship, and collaborative milestone fittings for every bespoke commission.

Section 01

1. Bespoke Commissioning & Consultation

Every commission at SARTO is an individual work of tailoring, drafted specifically to your posture, anatomical measurements, and fabric specifications. By confirming a bespoke order, you engage our master cutters and bench tailors in a custom craft process.

Because every garment involves individual cloth allocation from renowned European mills (including Vitale Barberis Canonico, Reda, and Marzotto) and bench pattern drafting, bespoke commissions cannot be cancelled or refunded once fabric cutting has commenced.

2. Milestone Fittings & Basting Approvals

True bespoke tailoring requires iterative milestone fittings:

  • Initial Measurement & Consultation: Recording 30 anatomical data points, posture assessment, and silhouette definition.
  • Basting Fitting: Evaluating the skeletal canvas structure, chest drape, shoulder pitch, and waist balance prior to permanent hand finishing.
  • Forward Fitting & Adjustments: Refining hem lengths, cuff balances, collar curvature, and button positioning.
  • Final Hand-Off: Complete garment inspection and hand pressing at our North York studio.

Clients are encouraged to attend fittings wearing the footwear and dress shirts intended for the completed garment to ensure exact hem lines and collar proportions.

3. Care, Maintenance & Adjustments

All garments created by SARTO are crafted with floating natural canvas and noble natural fibers.
